Interstate National Dealer Service WARRANTY is a total SCAM - Thieves - Warranty Total *** - Money Maker --DON'T BUY
Purchased an Extended Warranty from Dealership when I purchased my Toyota Prius.. I was basically talked into it, as the finance guys said, you have a hybrid, this is great because if anything goes wrong, including the battery etc.
this covers it...down to the key replacement... As that was the first question which came up, because they only offered me ONE key! He's telling me that the batteries on the hybrids are 500 or better and the hybrids sometimes have a lot go wrong which is very expensive, so good to have this.. I only purchase ONE in my life, and said NEVER again, but here we go..
So, first experience, I of course, lost my only key! I contact them to approve a new key as I had to order one, and they refuse.. So, what is the excuse, because I contacted the dealership to order it, because obviously I needed it, they said they would call and get approval, BUT, because they ordered it an hour before they call for approval, they DENIED paying for it! REALLY!!
Next, Water Pump goes, I pay for it because the dealership had waited 4 days for the Warranty Co to respond, meanwhile I am renting a car, and would like my car back, and I decide to pay for it and tell them to just reimburse me.. So, the dealership finally hears back from them 2 weeks after the repair and AGAIN DENIED payment because the repair was done before approval... The WARRANTY says IN BLACK AND WHITE, Water Pump COVERED.. If its covered, PAY FOR IT!
The Water Pump has issues AGAIN, and I bring it back,,, they get approval. Its repaired after 4 days. That was in September.. It is now DECEMBER and I get a letter in the mail saying they Refuse to cover the repair, because the repair was done prior to Approval...
!! Really!! Ridiculous.. I even called them to make sure it was covered...
I even called the DEALERSHIP and spoke to someone where I purchased the vehicle and spoke to them about it... The dealership I brought it to said they got approval, but NOW once again, they are denying payment. I call them today and she says , SORRY, but there was no approval on this. You had the work done before it was approved..
NOT TRUE.. It doesn't matter, if its Covered, its Covered.. Mann up and PAY For IT.... this is nothing more than ripping people off, straight up.
SHAME SHAME SHAME...... I called the dealership and demanded full reimbursement on the amount of the Warranty.. Its disgustiing. HiRoad Classic Extra Vehicle Service Warranty...
*** *** ***... What a Scam.. People, save your money up for a day you need a repair.. Cheaper and less aggrevating..
Soooo not worth this aggrevation... - Stacey Ann Trabold, Oxford NJ
Star RV Service Contract - They Are Terrible
What a waste of money spent with these folks. I had issues with backup camera and generator they would not cover either and I had bought the high end contract for peace of mind. They seem to just figure out ways NOT to cover or help you after you sign the contract and they take your money. I called to cancel the contact (as paperwork shows to do) and they were rude about and said to call the selling dealer to cancel (please update your instructions as you wasted my time, not me wasting your time). All in all they were terrible and were useless, much better providers out there, avoid these clowns.....
Interstate National Dealer Services Avoids Warranty Obligation
- Original sales assistant
- That the warranty was not a power train warranty
Preferred solution: Either pay for the transmission rebuild at $4500 or at the least $3300 refund for the original cost of the warranty. Since no other claims were made or paid this would be a wash for the company.
Interstate National Dealer Services - Warranty Review from Hinesville, Georgia
Platinum contract only paid for part of the repair
My Forest River Georgetown had a "check engine" light while travelling in California. The only nearby Ford dealer who could work on the unit in less than two weeks was about 30 miles from where I was located.
The total for the repair was almost $900. The platinum contract is supposed to pay for the entire repair but Interstate would only pay for parts and after much complaining about the labor rate, finally agreed to pay for one hour labor. After reimbursement, my out of pocket expense was almost $500. The dealer refused to release my vehicle until payment was received and, when the repairs were finished, it was too late in the day for Interstate to get payment to the dealer.
I paid for the repair and sent the documentation via email to Interstate for reimbursement.
Interstate would only send the reimbursement to my home address, making the money unavailable until I returned home.
The one hour labor didn't cover the actual labor time doing the repair. When I called Interstate about them also paying for the diagnosis fee to figure out what was causing the check engine light they stated "Diagnosis fees for RVs aren't covered", something that appears to be directly opposite of what is written in the contract.

Interstate National Dealer Services Cancellation Policy Review
Repeated Attempts to Have Name and Number Removed from Call List
This company continues to call in spite of repeated demands to remove my name and phone number from their contacts list. Most recently (today, 12:12 CST), "Rose" called me from a number listed as 847-232-****.
Once I determined what the call was in reference to, and as in the past, I again asked who she was and what company she was calling from.
She confirmed that her name is "Rose" and that the company that she was representing was National Dealer Services. I instructed her to immediately remove my name and number from their contact list and not to call me again.
Preferred solution: STOP CONTACTING ME.
Refusal to remove me from their call list

Interstate National Dealer Services Calls Review
They wont stop calling me
INDS said "environmental" issues, which the customer service agents could not explain, nor show on the rider, disqualified our claim. We paid a premium for a turbo diesel, they would not pay claim!
We purchased an extended warranty from Repair Defense Network for 2008 Mercedes Turbo Diesel. We have paid $3755.00 for contract #120******** that was sold to us by Todd Simpson.
The coverage is INTERSTATE XTRA DIRECT SUPREME. (We paid a premium per Craig at Repair Defense Network specifically for the turbo diesel). At that time the car had 102,958 miles- the term miles were 100,000 additional miles (current miles approximately 130,000 miles), expiration miles 203,958. The expiration date on the policy is March 19, 2017 (48 months).
The plan code is : DKSUPREM with a noted surcharge for : TURBO DIESEL. The policy is fully paid and has not expired. We have had the car serviced consistently at Mercedes dealership since we purchased car when new. On March 30, 2015 "check engine light" flashed and I brought car to dealership.
They found that the turbo failed and the intake manifolds not working. I then called Interstate National Dealer Services (claims administrator for Repair Defense Network) on March 30, 2015 and gave the service department the information on the dealership. I have maintained contact with the dealership to follow up on progress. INDS sent an adjuster to the dealership and according to the service technician the adjuster agreed that the turbo charger had failed.
I did not hear anything further from INDS and on April 8, 2015 I called the service number. At that time I spoke with Delano, who reported that they would not cover the manifolds for "environmental" reasons and cited section "I" on the rider. In reading section "I" there is no mention of "environmental" failures nor could Delano explain what environmental failure was, nor could he illustrate where "enviromental" factors were delineated in the rider. I then spoke with a Ms.
Edna White, manager of customer service. She said that the entire claim was denied because of "enviromental" factors and that the adjusters did not know what caused the failure- therefor the claim was denied. When I requested an explanation in writing she responded that she would send it to my email. As of today, April 9, 2015 after calling and emailing I have not received a response.
I also called the dealership (Mercedes Benz of Morristown, NJ) and asked the head of customer service Steven, if he had heard of "enviromental" issues and he was as ignorant as I. The car has been at the dealership for almost two weeks without any written correspondence from INDS as to the claim. In calling Repair Defense Network and speaking to Craig, I was told that Interstate National Dealer handles all claims and Repair Defense Network has no power over claims. I find that the two companies have a severe conflict of interest- Repair Defense Network sells the policy and allows it's surrogate Interstate National Dealer Service has to pay the claims.
I find it insulting that INDS will NOT put in writing why the claim is rejected nor would the customer service manager Ms. White illustrate on the rider why the claim was denied.

Interstate National Dealer Services - Engine Repair Review
I do not have a policy with these people and never will. I can offer a different perspective on them.
I manage an auto repair shop in the Dallas area. I frequently deal with these extended warranty companies and while some seem 100% above board most will try to get out of coverage or limit it if they can. Interstate brings this to an entirely new level.
I have over 8 hours of phone time (mostly on hold) trying to get an engine repair authorized and have hit one brick wall after another and have consistently caught them in out right lies and contradictions (thankfully I record all phone calls at my shop) unfortunately I have no moves left and my unfortunate customers are on the hook for a large repair they should be getting covered. Stay away from this company and you'll be better off.
Won't stop calling about a truck I traded in
- Poor customer service
Preferred solution: Take me off call list NOW!
